  • Joe McCloud, CDT

    2024 OADL President

    Joe is a southern Oregon native born and raised in the town of Grants Pass where he still resides with his wife, Kate, and their three children. Joe got his start in the dental industry doing janitorial work at a clinic owned by his uncle who was a denturist. He was offered an apprentice position there after returning home from deployment with the Oregon army national guard. He quickly developed a passion for the craftsmanship and artistry of the dental lab. Joe’s career path eventually led him to a position at Unbreakable Bonds, where he is the general manager of an extraordinary team of dental technicians.

    Eric Kraus is the President of Assured Dental Lab in Portland, OR. He is an Oregon State graduate in business, and a 4th generation dental laboratory owner with over 17 years in the dental laboratory industry.

  • Charles Banh

    Treasurer
    Ceramics West Dental Lab, Portland, OR

    Charles Banh was born in southern California and resided there through high school. He moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley attending courses with the intention of attending medical school. He finished Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology. In 2009, Charles moved to San Jose to join Anatomage as a sales representative. In 2010 he became sales manager and in 2011 appointed director of sales. He was responsible for all dental sales, training of all personnel, education, and for the company’s advertising campaign. Charles worked closely with key opinion leaders and sales partners to define the overall image and positioning of the brand. He has lectured around the country in the field of Cone Beam CT and Guided Surgery. In 2013, Charles resigned from Anatomage. in October 2013, Charles joined Biomet 3i as a Territory Manager in the San Francisco Bay Area. During his tenure he headed several successful education campaigns. Charles was instrumental in building the surgical practices within the area focusing on staff training, lab partnerships and executing education. Currently he is a consultant for oral surgeons focusing on the implant practice. He is also the head of the implant department for Ceramics West Dental Lab with primary scope being guided surgery and digital dentistry workflows.

  • Max Thomas

    Crown Creations, McMinnville, OR

    Max was born and raised in the dental industry by his mom and dad, the original owners of Crown Creations Dental Lab in Mcminnville, OR which was established in 1996. Once graduating from college with a BS in business, Max returned to Crown Creations to work along side his father where he would eventually become general manager and co-owner. Combining his strong work ethic and passion, Max has a vision dedicated to growing Crown Creations and preserving the importance of dental labs in the dental industry. Max strives daily to be the best version of himself for both himself and his family. He enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle with his wife, Starlyn.

  • Vadim Vainer, CDT, DTG

    Shikosha Dental Laboratory, Portland, OR

    Vadim Vainer is the Vice President of Production at Shikosha Dental Laboratory, Inc. in Portland OR. He completed his associates degree in computer engineering at the technical college of Beer-Sheva, Israel and later expanded his education at the University of Colorado in Boulder by studying biology and computer technology; which he later applied at the dental technology program at Portland Community College. Soon after completing his education, he opened Dentech Pro, a dental laboratory in Clackamas, OR where he worked in a fast-paced environment ensuring client satisfaction with general dental restorations. In 2014, with encouragement from family and friends, he started Axium Dental Arts where he could focus on more complex and cosmetic restorations. In his free time, Vadim loves to go camping and hiking with his wife Sarah. Often he plays the guitar to relax after a long day in the lab. He is passionate about photography and often teaches classes about dental and portrait photography. Grateful for an amazing group of fellow dental technicians, Vadim likes to participate in education and training as part of the Dental Technicians Guild - DTG.

  • Kim Doyle, CDT

    Oregon Health and Sciences University, Portland, OR

    Kim Doyle CDT is a restorative faculty dental technician at Oregon Health and Science University. After attending Texas State Technical College for her degree, she has worked in almost every aspect of dental technology. She started as a manager in a large production lab. Then continued her career managing two in-house dental labs, owner of two dental labs in Dallas and Seattle, trainer for Vident, instructor at a Washington technical college, and currently instructor at OHSU. Education was always a passion. Because of an interest in art, she attended Bellevue Community College and studied Computer Animation. There are many similarities between this study and dental Cad/Cam. Her free time involves hiking with her big dog, viewing and making art, listening and dancing to live music.

  • Carrie Peil Warner, CDT

    Portland, OR

    Carrie began her career in the dental field in 1981 as a clinical assistant and translator. She discovered a passion for laboratory technology after her move to Eugene in 1987, and opened Birch Lab in 2006, and for the next 16 years focused on cosmetic restorative work. Carrie is a member of the National Association for Dental Laboratories and the Eugene Women’s Business Network. Carrie is passionate about arts and culture and enjoys a variety of music and art in her free time, as well as spending time with her rescue Kelpie dog, Kipling. She actively supports local businesses, arts, and music in Oregon. Carrie is proud to represent and promote OADL’s mission as a local state trade association.
